March Feature: ANDRILL
Anica Brown, a PF teacher alum, has a wonderful blog on her class's activities with ANDRILL, a polar project headquartered at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Anica has done some great things with her class after graduating from PF and we are all proud of her accomplishments!
Conferences
We've been busy going to conferences! Michelle Strand presented a poster at the National meeting of the American Association of Physics Teachers meeting in Baltimore, MD in January. Natalie Umphlett and Tierney Brosius attended the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Boston and gave a nice presentation in a panel discussion on the future of GK-12 participants, and then followed it up with a poster presentation in the following session. Finally, Jared Goertzen, Michelle Strand, Steve Wignall and Pam Rasmussen represented Project Fulcrum at the annual GK-12 conference in Washington DC at the end of February/beginning of March and got a great response for their YouTube activity presentation and poster.
